Kim Kardashian has shared a heartfelt message about the challenges of motherhood, reflecting on the “sad part” of raising children amid a recent report about her ex-husband Kanye West’s limited involvement with their kids.
On her Instagram Stories, Kardashian posted an emotional quote that reads: “The sad part about motherhood is that you’re raising the one person you can’t live without… to be able to live without you,” accompanied by a teary-eyed emoji.
Kardashian, who shares four children—North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5—with the rapper, has been balancing the responsibilities of raising them largely on her own.

A source close to Kardashian revealed that she is “pretty much a single mom” as West is “sadly not around very much” to help care for the kids.
Despite having some help, the source noted that it remains a challenging task for Kardashian to juggle everything.
“Although she has help, it’s still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything,” the source said, adding that Kardashian’s life revolves around her children.
Kardashian has previously discussed the difficulties of being a single mom, especially in an interview on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast in May 2023. She admitted that some nights, she cries herself to sleep. “Obviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful … But at the end of the day, your kids only want you,” she said. “The struggles that my kids go through really have nothing to do with the amount of help that I have.”
