Halle Bailey is speaking out after her ex, rapper DDG, featured their 11-month-old son, Halo, on a Twitch livestream on Nov. 6.
The Little Mermaid star took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her displeasure, writing, “I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight.”
She added that she wasn’t notified about the livestream and felt upset about Halo being exposed to millions of viewers.
Halle emphasized her protective role as Halo’s mother, stating, “I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.”
She made it clear that the situation was not approved by her. E! News has reached out to DDG for a response but has yet to hear back.
During the stream, streamer Kai Cenat praised how calm and peaceful Halo was, which DDG humorously attributed to the baby’s “Beverly Hills” birth.
While the father-son moment was celebrated by those on the stream, Halle’s reaction underscores her desire for more control over her son’s exposure in the public eye.
Halle and DDG, who began dating in 2022, welcomed Halo in December 2023, but the couple announced their split in October 2024.
In a joint statement, DDG shared that they remain “best friends” and will focus on co-parenting.
Halle has been using this time to focus on self-love and finding balance as a mother, while also dealing with the challenges of “mom guilt” during her work travels.
“I feel like you have to fill yourself up in order to be able to love other people,” Halle reflected on her personal growth during this time.
