Juelz Santana has sparked concern among fans after appearing to reveal that he was involved in a serious car accident.
The Dipset rapper took to his Instagram Stories on Monday, January 12, where he shared a close-up photo of his face showing visible scrapes and cuts on his nose and cheek. Over the image, Santana simply wrote “car crash,” alongside prayer and raised-hands emojis. While he did not provide details about when or where the accident happened, the emojis and his calm tone appeared to reassure followers that he is recovering and out of immediate danger.
The brief update prompted an outpouring of concern and well-wishes from fans, many of whom took the post as a sign that the Harlem rapper was asking for prayers while confirming he was okay.
Santana has been in the spotlight in recent weeks for reasons beyond his music. In late November, the rapper sparked online debate after claiming that financial literacy was more important than traditional reading skills during an appearance on the No Funny Shit podcast. He argued that young people should focus on learning how to start businesses, suggesting that reading could be replaced by audiobooks and online resources.
His remarks quickly drew criticism, including from The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne tha God, who named Santana “Donkey of the Day.” Charlamagne pushed back strongly, saying reading is essential for independent learning and understanding information without relying on others.
