Viral internet personality Mr. Fantasy is embracing the wild side during his latest trip to Australia.
The social media star, whose true identity has sparked widespread speculation—with many fans convinced he is New Zealand actor KJ Apa in disguise—recently visited Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Queensland, where he teamed up with wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin.
Overflowing with excitement, Mr. Fantasy ran to greet Irwin with a hug, telling him, “I absolutely love your country.” For the visit, the TikTok sensation wore a red-and-black geometric shirt, khaki pants and a playful Mickey Mouse belt.
In classic Irwin fashion, the collaboration quickly turned hands-on, with the pair meeting a massive Burmese python. When Irwin asked if he liked snakes, Mr. Fantasy confidently replied, “I absolutely love snakes.”

That confidence wavered slightly once the large reptile—requiring the help of Irwin and two zoo handlers to lift—was placed on their shoulders. As the snake turned toward him, Mr. Fantasy’s nerves became clear.
“What do I do? Robert? What do I do?” he repeatedly asked, prompting the pair to eventually set the snake down at his request.
Once on the ground, Mr. Fantasy returned to his signature greeting style, leaning in to sniff the python—an act that has become a trademark of his online persona. The creator recently explained on the Jan. 7 episode of The Squeeze podcast that sniffing is his way of showing curiosity and connection.
“It comes from love,” he said. “You want to know more.”
The visit took an unexpected turn when Mr. Fantasy picked up what appeared to be kangaroo droppings and licked it, visibly shocking Irwin. Later responding to fans online, Mr. Fantasy joked that the moment “may have caught Robert off guard.”
To mark the occasion, Mr. Fantasy presented Irwin with several gifts, including a picture of two kangaroos—suggesting they represented the pair—along with a flask for future adventures, a Rottweiler figurine and a necklace. While Mr. Fantasy said the pendant was shaped like Australia, Irwin quickly pointed out it resembled Africa instead.
“They look awfully similar, don’t they?” Mr. Fantasy joked.
Speaking on The Squeeze podcast, Mr. Fantasy praised Irwin as a “pure soul,” saying he is naturally drawn to people with that kind of energy. When asked if he had managed to sniff Irwin during their first meeting, Mr. Fantasy admitted it had been difficult—but promised to try again.
