Kendall Jenner has finally addressed long-running online rumors about her sexuality, speaking candidly about speculation that she is a closeted lesbian.
The 30-year-old supermodel tackled the topic during an appearance on the In Your Dreams podcast on Friday, January 9, where she spoke openly about the chatter that has followed her for years.
“There’s a whole side of the internet that thinks I’m a lesbian,” Jenner told host Owen Thiele, adding that what upsets her most is not the rumor itself, but how people talk about it.
“What really bothers me is how mean people are about it,” she said. “It’s not welcoming. It’s not like, ‘Hey, if you were, that’s okay.’ It’s aggressive and cruel.”
Jenner made it clear that she does not identify as gay but stressed that she would have no reason to hide it if she were.
“I understand that coming out isn’t easy for a lot of people,” she explained. “But knowing myself, at this point in my life, I think I’d be out if I was. I wouldn’t have a problem with that.”
The Kardashians star also dismissed claims that she keeps her sexuality hidden for business reasons, calling such assumptions “messed up.”
“I’ve seen things like, ‘It would be bad for business,’ and I’m like, ‘What? How?’ I don’t understand that at all,” she said.
Jenner concluded by shutting down the rumors directly while leaving room for personal growth.
“As of today, I’m not,” she said. “I don’t think I will be, but I’m also not closing doors to experiences in life.”
Over the years, Jenner has been linked to several high-profile men, including Harry Styles, NBA star Devin Booker, and most recently rapper Bad Bunny. She and Bad Bunny reportedly ended their relationship in late 2023.
Despite her openness on the podcast, Jenner has consistently kept her love life private. According to Keeping Up With the Kardashians executive producer Farnaz Farjam, Jenner prefers to stay out of the spotlight unless a relationship is serious.
“She always had a rule that she had to be with someone for at least a year before showing it,” Farjam said in 2021. “She’s very protective of her personal life.”
