Atlanta-based producer Sonny Digital has spoken publicly after his recording studio was allegedly broken into and several pieces of music equipment were stolen.
The hitmaker shared his experience in a series of videos posted on social media, revealing that thieves made off with multiple keyboards and other essential studio gear. Although the clips were later deleted, they were reposted by DJ Akademiks, quickly drawing attention from fans and fellow artists across the industry.
Visibly shaken in the videos, Sonny Digital said the incident affected him more emotionally than financially. While he plans to replace the stolen equipment, he stressed that the invasion of his creative space was the most upsetting part.
He also appealed to the public for help, asking fans and music professionals to remain alert for anyone attempting to sell studio keyboards or similar recording equipment online. The producer encouraged anyone who spots suspicious listings to notify him immediately, saying it could help identify those responsible.
Despite the setback, Sonny Digital made it clear he is determined to move forward and hold those involved accountable. He issued a direct message to the alleged thieves, expressing his frustration and demanding responsibility for the break-in.
At the time of writing, it remains unclear whether local authorities have identified any suspects or made arrests in connection with the incident.
The burglary marks an unfortunate start to 2026 for the 34-year-old producer, who remains one of Atlanta’s most influential figures in hip-hop. Over the past decade, Sonny Digital has built an impressive résumé, producing chart-topping hits for major artists including 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Beyoncé, Future, Don Toliver, and Vince Staples.
