Signs of tension within the Beckham family appear to have intensified, with changes to Instagram following lists drawing fresh attention to an ongoing rift.
David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly lost followers on the platform — including from within their own family. Their eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 26, no longer follows either of his parents on Instagram, and the former football star, 50, and the fashion designer, 51, no longer follow him back. The couple also does not follow Brooklyn’s wife, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, 30, and David and Victoria do not appear among the accounts Nicola follows.
Despite the apparent digital distance, David and Victoria continue to follow their other sons, Romeo Beckham and Cruz Beckham. Their youngest child, daughter Harper, does not have an Instagram account.
Brooklyn also does not follow his brothers on the platform, nor do they follow him back. The same applies to Nicola, further fueling speculation about family tensions.
A Rift Years in the Making
The Instagram unfollowing comes amid long-standing rumors of strain within the famous family, dating back to Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2022.
At the time, reports suggested friction between Nicola and Victoria Beckham after the actress chose not to wear a wedding dress designed by the former Spice Girl, despite initial plans to do so. While one source previously told PEOPLE that the tension was real, another insisted the dress controversy was “far from the truth.”

Additional reports claimed that emotions ran high during the wedding reception, with sources alleging Victoria unexpectedly took the spotlight during a special dance moment planned for Brooklyn and Nicola, set to music performed by Marc Anthony as a wedding gift.
Missed Milestones and Public Silence
In May, David Beckham marked his 50th birthday with a star-studded celebration in London. Victoria, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper attended the event, but Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent despite being invited.
Sources initially suggested the couple skipped the celebration due to the presence of Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who was rumored to have once been linked to Brooklyn. Those claims were later denied by Cruz Beckham, another source, and Turnbull herself.
Social Media Signals
In recent months, members of the Beckham family have shared posts widely interpreted as indirect messages about the situation.
Brooklyn posted a video of himself riding a motorcycle with Nicola, accompanied by a message saying he would “always choose” her. Hours later, Cruz shared a family photo praising his parents, writing, “I love you guys more than anything… I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives.”
A source previously told PEOPLE that attempts to heal the family divide have been difficult. “Every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again,” the insider said. “They’ve tried to make peace.”
The source added that Brooklyn feels conflicted, describing his relationship with his father as complicated. “It’s his family and blood, but a lot of their relationship has felt like ‘business,’” the insider explained.
