When he’s not performing to sold-out arenas, Jon Bon Jovi is a dedicated father to four children, whom he shares with his longtime wife, Dorothea Hurley.
The rock icon and the martial arts instructor have one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories. High school sweethearts, they famously eloped in Las Vegas in 1989.
Four years later, they began building their family, welcoming daughter Stephanie in 1993, followed by sons Jesse, Jake and Romeo.
The couple raised their children largely away from the spotlight in New Jersey. Bon Jovi has openly said that maintaining his marriage through decades of global fame hasn’t always been easy, joking that he has “gotten away with murder” in the past. Still, the family has remained close and supportive of one another.
Here’s a closer look at the Bon Jovi brood:
Stephanie Rose Bongiovi
Born in May 1993, Stephanie is the eldest of the four siblings. Her father even dedicated the 2000 song “I’ve Got the Girl” to her.
In 2012, Stephanie was hospitalized following an overdose — something Bon Jovi later described as a “terrible speed bump” for the family. He emphasized that the experience only strengthened their bond, while Dorothea noted that many families face similar challenges privately.
Stephanie has largely stayed out of public life. However, engagement rumors surfaced in early 2024 after Bon Jovi revealed he had written a song titled “Kiss the Bride” for her. Shortly after, he confirmed she was set to marry, though her partner’s identity remains private.

Jesse Bongiovi
Jesse, born in February 1995, took a different path from rock stardom. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he co-founded the popular rosé brand Hampton Water alongside his father.
He proposed to producer Jesse Light in 2022, and the pair tied the knot in 2024 — in the very same Las Vegas chapel where Bon Jovi and Hurley eloped decades earlier. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Blair, in November 2025.
Jacob “Jake” Hurley Bongiovi
Jake was born in May 2002 and has become the most publicly known of the siblings in recent years due to his relationship with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. The two connected on Instagram in 2021 and quickly became inseparable.
Jake proposed in 2023, and the pair quietly married in 2024 in what Bon Jovi described as a “small, family” celebration. The proud dad later praised the couple, calling Brown “gorgeous” and noting that Jake was “as happy as could be.”
They welcomed a baby girl in 2025, though they have chosen not to reveal her name.
Romeo Jon Bongiovi
The youngest of the family, Romeo, born in March 2004, has stayed largely out of the public eye. However, Bon Jovi did share a rare photo with him in 2021 for his 17th birthday — Romeo sporting a Nirvana T-shirt in the snapshot.
