Journalist and former NTV news anchor Smriti Vidyarthi has secured a new job months after leaving Nation Media Group (NMG).
In an announcement made on Thursday, May 22, Vidyarthi revealed that she has joined The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a global environmental organization. She will serve as the Executive Communications Officer for Africa.
“I’m turning the mic and lens to nature,” said Vidyarthi. “I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a global conservation organization whose mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.”
Vidyarthi expressed her enthusiasm about using her skills to highlight the organization’s conservation efforts across Africa.
“TNC offers a powerful platform for change, and as TNC’s executive communications officer for Africa, I can’t wait to tell our stories as we conserve our precious landscapes and oceans for people and nature. Together we find a way,” she added.
The Nature Conservancy works in more than 70 countries, including several in Africa, to protect natural resources through science, advocacy, and partnerships.
