The renowned artist Mr Doodle, whose real name is Sam Cox, has unveiled his latest masterpiece near Ashford town centre.
The artwork, which Ashford Borough Council (ABC) described as one of the world’s “longest artworks,” spans an impressive 203 meters (666 feet) and was completed in just one day.
The design, located on the black hoardings at the junction of Beaver Road, Avenue Jacques Faucheux, and Victoria Road—one of the busiest entrances to the town centre—was painted early in the morning, with Mr Doodle starting at 08:00 GMT.
ABC’s arts and cultural industries manager, Chris Dixon, praised the finished work, calling it “fantastic.”
The location, opposite the railway station, is set to become home to the borough’s tallest building, the Infinity residential apartments.
Sam Cox rose to fame with his unique doodling style, which first gained attention when he covered every inch of his home in Tenterden with doodle art.
His popularity exploded worldwide after his social media videos amassed millions of views.
In April 2024, a documentary titled The Trouble with Mr Doodle was released, offering an insight into his obsession with doodling and personal struggles.
Cox has described the film as “my favourite thing I’ve ever been involved in.”
