Chynna Phillips Baldwin is opening up about her unique approach to her marriage with her husband, Billy Baldwin.
The Wilson Phillips singer recently shared details of their relationship in a video on her YouTube channel, revealing that she and Billy have decided to live in two separate cities in California as part of a new arrangement that has been working for them.
“We’re sort of in this new kind of arrangement that is really working for me,” Chynna explained. “I’m not sure if it’s working for Billster, but I’m really happy with it.”
Chynna shared that she suggested to Billy that they try living in different cities to see how it felt. She proposed that she stay in Santa Barbara while he lived in Beverly Hills, and they would switch locations after some time.
Although they live separately, the couple, who have been married for nearly 30 years, still make time for each other. “We have date nights, we go to therapy together, we have dinner with our children, and we go to the beach or the museum,” she added.
The couple, who married in 1995, share three children: daughters Jameson (24), Brooke (19), and son Vance (22).
During the video, the couple had a FaceTime conversation where Chynna told Billy, “I think we’re onto something.” She emphasized that they are still deeply in love, enjoy each other’s company, and cherish their marriage. “We just need a little time apart because we are sort of an allergy to one another,” she explained, adding that this arrangement works for them.
Billy jokingly responded, “The reality is you have the allergy,” referencing the tension that sometimes comes with spending too much time together. Despite their occasional space, the couple remains committed to each other and their family.
The couple has previously discussed challenges in their marriage, including a six-month separation. In a video shared earlier this year, Billy expressed support for Chynna, even as their relationship went through changes after she became more religious. He told her, “I still absolutely love you, absolutely adore you, and completely support you.”
