Dave Coulier has opened up about the dramatic physical changes caused by his cancer treatments, revealing that he lost 45 pounds while battling two forms of cancer over the past two years.
In an emotional Instagram video shared on Thursday, the 66-year-old actor addressed concerns from fans who had noticed changes in both his appearance and voice.
“I haven’t posted in quite a while, and the last time I did some of you said that I look differently and I sound differently, and I do,” Coulier said.
The former Full House star explained that the side effects stemmed from extensive radiation treatment for carcinoma in his throat.
“I haven’t been able to eat solid food in months, and so I’ve lost 45 pounds,” he said, adding that the treatment also affected his speech.

Coulier reflected on his recent health struggles, revealing that he had previously undergone chemotherapy after being diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2024.
Although he announced in March that he was cancer-free from lymphoma, the actor later disclosed that he had been diagnosed with HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer just months afterward.
In February this year, Coulier confirmed that he was in remission from both cancers following what he described as a difficult two-year battle.

Despite the positive prognosis, the actor admitted that the experience continues to weigh heavily on him emotionally.
“But, despite the good news, I feel like cancer is always in the rearview mirror behind me,” he said.
