The Kenya Millennium Development Fund (KMDF) has issued a Close-Out General Procurement Notice informing suppliers, contractors, consultants, and the public that all procurement activities under the programme have been concluded, cancelled, or terminated.
The programme was funded through a Threshold Grant Agreement signed on September 19, 2023, in Washington, D.C., between the United States Government, acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and the Government of Kenya. The agreement provided up to $60 million under the Kenya Urban Mobility and Growth Threshold Program, which was implemented by KMDF.
In a notice dated Tuesday, April 20, 2026, KMDF said the closure follows the termination of the Threshold Program.
“Following the termination of the Threshold Program, KMDF hereby issues this Close-Out General Procurement Notice to inform the general public, suppliers, contractors, and consultants that all procurement activities under the Program have been concluded, cancelled or terminated,” the statement reads.
KMDF further confirmed that no additional procurement opportunities will be published under the programme. It added that all previous General Procurement Notices (GPNs), Specific Procurement Notices (SPNs), Requests for Applications (RFAs), and Requests for Offers (RFOs) related to the programme should be considered closed or terminated.
The notice formally concludes the General Procurement Notice issued for the period October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, along with all previously published versions.
