Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has reinstated boards of several National Polytechnics following a gazette notice dated April 17, 2026.
In the changes, Ogamba reappointed Dr. Bishop Paul K. Korir as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kitale National Polytechnic Council. Other members reappointed to the council are Salina Cheruiyot, Harrison Tanga Webbo, Isaac Mudogo Shaviya and Jane Ahuru Ajele, all set to serve for three-year terms.
At the Meru National Polytechnic Council, Anthony Njagi Getambu was reappointed as Non-Executive Chairperson, with Suleyman Boru Dida and Jenu John returning as members, also for a period of three years.
Ogamba also reappointed Patricia Mwaka Mbogoh as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic Council. Members Luciana Sanzua, Peter Munyao Kimilu, Nuru Bwanakombo, Albert Kagwa and Shukri Barmadi will serve alongside her for three years.
In Nyeri, David Kanyoi Gachuru was reappointed as Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Polytechnic Council, with Lucy Waruguru Mwai and John Suge serving as members. Edina Nyaboke Kangwana was newly appointed to the council, with all appointments taking effect for a three-year term.
