Actor Anna Camp has publicly shared that she identifies as bisexual, opening up about her sexuality a year after confirming her relationship with girlfriend Jade Whipkey.
Speaking in an upcoming episode of the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast hosted by Tommy DiDario, the 43-year-old actress said she is proud of embracing her identity later in life.
“As a 43-year-old woman, I am very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age,” Camp said in a preview clip obtained by People magazine. “I am a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticizing and judging and making assumptions. I’m really proud to be bisexual.”
Camp also reflected on what she described as a “major evolution” in her 40s and said she has chosen not to fear the changes in her life.
“Sure, there are times I feel like I am taking a risk and this is scary and I’m doing it in a public forum,” she said. “But to say, ‘No, I only get one life and I want to be happy,’ that’s what life is all about.”
The revelation marks the first time the Pitch Perfect star has directly confirmed her sexuality since she subtly introduced her relationship with Whipkey on Instagram in May last year.

At the time, Camp reposted a photo originally shared on Whipkey’s Instagram Stories showing the pair appearing to enjoy a candlelit dinner together. Whipkey captioned the image with a romantic message: “Her smile is a poem, her eyes are roses, her laugh is music for dancing.”
Around the same period, a TikTok video from February 2025 resurfaced online showing the pair discussing their relationship, with Camp saying, “I’m dating a woman, and it’s great.”
The couple later made their red-carpet debut in June at the Los Angeles premiere of Bride Hard. During the event, the pair posed closely together for photos, with Whipkey holding Camp by the waist while the actress — also known for appearing in the Netflix series You — leaned in for a kiss.
Shortly after their public appearance, Camp faced criticism online over the couple’s 18-year age difference. She responded by defending their relationship.
“I’ve dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them,” she wrote in the comments of an Instagram post. “We have more in common than anyone else I’ve ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything.”
She added that while people are entitled to their opinions, she wished everyone well, particularly during Pride Month.
This is Camp’s first public same-sex relationship. The actress was previously married to her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin from 2016 until their divorce in 2019. Before that, she was married to actor Michael Mosley, with the couple separating in 2013.
