Garissa University (GaU) has announced several job opportunities across academic, technical, and support roles.
In a notice dated Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the university said it is looking to fill positions including Senior ICT Planning & Development Officer, Senior Library Assistant, two Computer Technologists, two Assistant Computer Technologists, Assistant ICT Trainer, Graduate Assistant, Assistant, three Administrative/Research Assistants, Instructor/Senior Nursing Officer, two Cooks, three Security Guards, two Groundsmen, Laboratory Technical Assistant, and Nutrition & Dietetics Technologist.
The positions will be offered on contract or permanent and pensionable terms. Vacancy details are available on the university website www.gau.ac.ke. Interested applicants must complete the Application for Employment Form (Form FM–HR–009) and provide full details of their educational and professional qualifications, work experience, telephone number, and email address. Applicants should also attach an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV), copies of academic and professional certificates, and testimonials.
Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked at the top with the job title and mailed or delivered to: The Vice Chancellor, Garissa University, P.O. Box 1801–70100, Garissa, or emailed to recruitment@gau.ac.ke. All applications must reach the Vice Chancellor’s office by March 20, 2026, at 5:00 pm. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered, the notice warned.
Meanwhile, South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) has also advertised several positions. The university is seeking a Medical Surgical Nursing Lecturer, Criminology and Social Justice Lecturer, and Geotechnical/Structural Engineering Lecturer. The Director of ICT position has been re-advertised.
