Kelly Clarkson has confirmed that she will be leaving The Kelly Clarkson Show at the end of its seventh season to spend more time with her children.
The news follows an exclusive Page Six report revealing that the daytime talk show was coming to a close. On Monday, the Grammy-winning singer shared a heartfelt message on social media announcing her decision.
“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York,” Clarkson, 43, wrote on Instagram. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons.”
Clarkson thanked the show’s band, crew, and all the talented guests who appeared over the years, calling her time on the show “an honor” and expressing gratitude to fans for their ongoing support since the program premiered in 2019. She also acknowledged NBC for being “such a supportive and incredible partner.”
“Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she shared. Clarkson explained that stepping away will allow her to prioritize her two children, daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, who she shares with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who passed away in August 2025 at age 48.

Despite ending her daytime show, Clarkson assured fans this is not a farewell to her career. “I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next,” she wrote.
Page Six reported last month that multiple insiders had confirmed Clarkson’s exit, describing her departure as “definite” and citing the demanding nature of daytime television as a key factor. One source noted that balancing the show with her personal life “is not sustainable anymore.” Rumors of Clarkson’s plans to leave had circulated since last year, with sources suggesting she would step away when her contract ended in 2026.
Clarkson concluded her message to fans: “For now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”
