North West’s brief foray into social media appears to be over almost as quickly as it began.
The 11-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has quietly disappeared from Instagram less than three weeks after launching her account. A search for the profile now shows that the page is “not available” or “may have been removed,” DreamBiz Entertain has confirmed.
It remains unclear whether the account was deleted by North herself, managed by her parents, or taken down by Instagram.
North made her Instagram debut on December 20 with an account under her own name. Her bio stated that the page was “managed by [her] parents.” At the time, she shared a blurry photo of herself and posted several Instagram Stories featuring two of her friends.
The move surprised many fans, particularly given Kanye West’s long-standing opposition to his children being active on social media.

In a 2022 public rant, the rapper criticized Kardashian for allowing North to appear on TikTok, accusing his ex-wife of “antagonizing” him. “I am her father… and I said I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok or Disney,” West said in an Instagram video responding to North’s TikTok appearance with her cousin, Penelope Disick.
However, reports later suggested West had softened his stance. According to TMZ, he approved of North’s social media presence following a Christmas reunion with Kardashian. Sources also said the former couple, who were married from 2014 to 2021, have remained cordial while co-parenting their four children — North, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
Despite parental approval, North’s online presence has sparked debate among fans.

The pre-teen has faced criticism for appearing older than her age, with some fans taking issue with her piercings — including a finger piercing — and temporary tattoos. Shortly before her Instagram disappeared, North posted a lip-sync video using audio from reality star Chrisean Rock, saying, “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.”
She captioned the clip, “This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing.”
With the account now gone, it remains to be seen whether North West will return to social media anytime soon — or if her brief debut has already sparked a larger conversation about children, fame, and growing up in the public eye.
