Kate Middleton and Prince William have continued their holiday tradition by releasing their annual family Christmas card photo.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, appear in the festive image alongside their three children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
The photo was taken in April 2025 by photographer Josh Shinner and was shared on the royal couple’s social media pages on Thursday, December 18.
In the picture, the family is seen sitting together in a field of daffodils, smiling warmly as they pose for the camera. Prince William and Prince Louis wear matching dark green sweaters with blue jeans, while Princess Charlotte rests her head on her father’s shoulder. She is dressed in a green Fair Isle sweater and scarf. Prince George sits close by, completing the relaxed family scene.

The image comes from the same photo shoot used earlier this year for Father’s Day and to mark Prince Louis’ 7th birthday in April and Prince George’s 12th birthday in July. Princess Kate did not appear in the photos released for those occasions.
Photographer Josh Shinner has worked with Princess Kate on several occasions in the past.
The Wales family typically shares a new portrait for their Christmas card each year. However, last year they chose a still image from a previously released video showing the family spending time outdoors. That video marked an emotional moment, as it announced that Princess Kate had completed chemotherapy after revealing in March that she was undergoing cancer treatment. She later confirmed in early 2025 that she was in remission.
The family was most recently seen together earlier this month at Kate’s fifth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service, held on Friday, December 5. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis attended the event to support their mother, as they have in past years.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also expected to appear with the wider royal family on Christmas Day, continuing their tradition of walking to church for the holiday service before greeting well-wishers gathered outside.
