Nation Media Group (NMG) has appointed former Pulse Kenya and East Africa Regional Director Jack Owigar as its new Head of Digital Business.
In a statement released on Monday, NMG said Owigar will lead the company’s digital revenue strategy across all its platforms.
In his new role, Owigar will be responsible for growing digital advertising revenue, increasing subscriptions, driving innovation in digital products, and expanding new income streams. He will oversee both direct and indirect digital revenues for the media house.
“Jack will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital sales strategy to drive revenue growth, increase subscriptions, lead advertising innovation, and maximise monetisation across all our digital platforms,” NMG said in the statement.
The media group said Owigar brings wide experience in digital leadership and commercial strategy, having worked with major media and digital organisations in East Africa.
“He brings extensive experience in digital business leadership, strategy, commercial operations and product development,” the statement added.
Before joining Nation Media Group, Owigar served as Regional Director at Pulse Africa and East Africa, where he played a key role in expanding the brand’s digital footprint and commercial growth.
