Cardi B has called out Joe Budden for allegedly changing his attitude toward her in recent years.
On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the former rapper took a moment to apologize to Cardi if any of his jokes about her had been offensive.
Budden addressed Cardi’s recent rant on X Spaces, where she criticized him for commenting on her relationship with Atlantic Records and rumors about her next album.
“Cardi is on my list of people I’m going to love no matter what,” Budden said. “As a musician, just in terms of the story of someone from New York, there’s absolutely nothing that Cardi B could get me to say negatively about her, her husband, or her family…If I’ve ever made a joke that’s offended Cardi B, I’m sorry.”
Cardi saw the apology and retweeted it with a caption reflecting on her friendship with Budden and how he has changed over the years. According to Cardi, Budden always criticizes her, whether it’s about her career or personal life, but she still considers him a friend.

“I got love for you too Joe but you been changing your tone on me real heavy the last 3 years whether music or personal,” she wrote. “Like when I was going through real stuff with my marriage in December, you went on your platform and tried to make that about somebody else and what they got going on.”
She added, “I know criticism comes with the territory but sometimes the narrative y’all decide to run with is so toxic. It’s all love tho see you soon.”
While she continues to go back and forth with Budden, fans are still waiting for Cardi to give an update on her upcoming second album. She recently told fans she would slow down on making pop-oriented records to show love to her “hood” fans.
“I wanna let some of y’all also know that I cannot always do glittery, fun, female stuff all the time, you know what I’m saying?” she told fans. “I gotta get to the ns, you know what I’m saying? I’m a whole hood n … Like, I have a gun as my dick.”
