Senator Cory Booker has officially married Alexis Lewis after a whirlwind romance, sharing the joyous news with fans on Instagram this Sunday.
The couple marked their union with two wedding celebrations—one intimate courthouse ceremony in Newark, New Jersey, and a larger family affair in Washington, D.C.

Lewis, 38, looked radiant in a high-collared white dress with a cape for the courthouse ceremony, later changing into a stunning strapless lace gown for the second celebration. The interfaith ceremonies honored both backgrounds, with a rabbi and a pastor officiating—Booker is Christian, while Lewis is Jewish.
“Overflowing with gratitude,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. “We said ‘I do’ in two places that shaped us—Cory’s beloved Newark and Alexis’s hometown of Washington, D.C.—first at the courthouse, then with our families. Hearts full and so grateful.”
The pair’s engagement was announced less than three months ago. Booker, 56, and Lewis first met in May 2024 on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. The date lasted five hours, and Booker reportedly convinced Lewis to delay her flight to enjoy a second date the following night. By August, he proposed during a romantic trip to Hawaii, and they soon moved in together.
Lewis is a director of investments at Brasa Capital Management, a real estate investment firm based in Los Angeles. Booker described her as “one of the greatest unearned blessings” of his life, noting that she has helped him “ground and center my inner life” while building a loving home together.
Fans and friends quickly congratulated the newlyweds online. Booker’s ex-girlfriend Rosario Dawson, 46, wrote, “Love Love! Congratulations you two!” Some fans commented on the striking resemblance between Lewis and Dawson, jokingly calling Lewis a “clone” or asking if she was Dawson’s sister.
Booker and Dawson, who dated for three years before splitting in February 2022, have remained on good terms. Back in 2019, Booker had praised Dawson on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, calling her a “deeply soulful person” who taught him lessons about love and vulnerability.
