Sean Kaufman and Christopher Briney, co-stars from the hit Netflix series The Summer I Turned Pretty, shared an unexpected and playful kiss while attending a New York Knicks game on Friday.
The pair were spotted at Madison Square Garden during the NBA team’s home matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, engaging in a sweet display of PDA. When the arena’s camera highlighted them on the big screen, Kaufman leaned in, cupped Briney’s face, and planted a kiss on his lips, leaving Briney laughing in delight.
The moment quickly caught attention on social media. The Knicks’ official Instagram account shared a clip of the lip-lock, jokingly writing, “belly you have some competition 🥰” and adding, “Everyone is Team Conrad,” a nod to the beloved love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung), Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), and Conrad (Briney) in the Netflix series. Kaufman plays Steven, Belly’s protective older brother.

The playful PDA comes after the conclusion of The Summer I Turned Pretty, which wrapped its third season in September. Fans of the show can rejoice, as Amazon Prime has already confirmed that the cast will return for a movie continuation.
