Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have taken their relationship public in a modern way — by going Instagram-official.
The Oscar-nominated actor delighted fans on Wednesday when he shared a photo and video of Foster performing at New York’s famed Café Carlyle, praising her holiday show in a heartfelt caption.
“@suttonlenore performing during the holidays at @cafecarlyle … now that’s an iconic NYC night! And truly magical,” Jackman, 57, wrote alongside the post.
In the short clip, the 50-year-old Tony Award winner steps onstage in a shimmering emerald gown, flashing a bashful smile and waving once she notices Jackman filming her from the audience — a tender moment that immediately sent fans buzzing.

Jackman’s affectionate shout-out comes just weeks after the pair made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Song Sung Blue. The two appeared blissfully happy, posing arm-in-arm and sharing quiet smiles as cameras captured their first public outing as a couple.
Their romance has been the subject of speculation for more than a year. In late 2023, Page Six reported that the two were dating and “in love,” though they were keeping their relationship “extremely private.” A source added at the time that “they spend all their free time together. They’re just a normal couple — they simply prefer staying out of the spotlight.”
The pair first met as co-stars in Broadway’s The Music Man, which ran from late 2021 through early 2023. Their offstage connection drew attention as both were married at the time. In September 2023, Jackman announced his separation from Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage, following months of swirling affair rumors. Foster filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, a month later.

By January 2024, Jackman and Foster seemed to subtly confirm the romance when they were photographed holding hands in California. Their relationship became less of a rumour and more of a reality soon after.
Furness, 69, officially filed for divorce in May 2024, and the former couple finalized their split the following month. Despite settling their reported $250 million estate — with Furness walking away with what’s been described as a significant support package — tensions have reportedly remained high. According to international outlets, the Australian actress is said to be considering a tell-all memoir detailing her perspective on the breakup.
