David Beckham is keeping the holiday spirit — and his wife — in check as the Beckham household unveils its luxurious Christmas décor.
On Sunday, Nov. 22, Victoria Beckham, 51, shared a video on Instagram Stories proudly showing off the family’s towering Christmas tree. The sparkling display, trimmed with glowing lights, shiny baubles, and oversized bows, looked ready for a magazine cover. But just as Victoria began to praise her own festive handiwork, her husband David jumped in with a familiar line that fans instantly recognized.
“Okay, the tree is ready. I feel like an overachiever, I can’t lie,” Victoria said as she filmed the glittering creation. “It’s a big tree, and we’ve never been so ready for Christmas.”
From off-camera, David chimed in: “Be honest.”
Victoria broke into laughter. “Oh my gosh, he’s here,” she said, turning the camera to reveal the 50-year-old former football star peeking into the room through the doorway.
“Be honest,” he repeated, teasing her.
“What do you mean?” she asked with a smile.
“Did you really do that tree?” he pressed.
“Of course, I did the tree!” she insisted before he once again nudged her: “Be honest!”
Victoria doubled down, saying she absolutely decorated it herself, while David jokingly replied, “A very nice surprise. Mrs. Claus.”
The playful exchange instantly reminded fans of the viral “be honest” moment from Beckham’s hit 2023 Netflix documentary. In the now-iconic clip, Victoria described both of their families as “very working class” — only for David to pop his head into the interview and challenge her with the same line: “Be honest.”
The scene became one of the series’ most talked-about moments, and even the documentary’s director Fisher Stevens later admitted he was initially annoyed by the interruption — before ultimately accepting that it made for great television.
