Amanda Bynes is shutting down a shocking viral TikTok video that claims she was pregnant at 13 with a child fathered by former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider — calling the entire thing fabricated and “completely bogus.”
Speaking exclusively to TMZ, the 38-year-old former child star says the video circulating on social media is 100% fake and was not created by her. Instead, she explains, the clip is a heavily edited mash-up of unrelated footage taken from her real social media posts.
According to Bynes, the video manipulates one of her recent Instagram Stories — in which she briefly turns the camera toward the man she is currently dating — and splices it together with unrelated old clips to make it appear as though she is making explosive allegations about Schneider.
“It’s all lies for clickbait,” she says, emphasizing that she has never made such claims.
The resurfaced controversy arrives as Dan Schneider continues to fight back against allegations stemming from the explosive docuseries Quiet on Set, which examined the culture behind several popular Nickelodeon productions. Schneider is currently suing the documentary’s producers for defamation, arguing that he was falsely depicted as a sexual predator and that the series severely damaged his reputation.
Meanwhile, past cast members have raised concerns about Schneider’s behavior. All That star Lori Beth Denberg previously accused him of acting inappropriately toward her as a young adult — allegations Schneider has denied, saying she exaggerated the situation.
While Bynes has had her share of headline-making moments over the years, she is making it clear that this latest viral claim is not one of them. The actress says she wants fans to know the TikTok is altered, deceptive, and created without her involvement.
