Supermodel Paulina Porizkova is reminding fans that real beauty doesn’t come with filters. The 60-year-old star shared a refreshingly honest “get ready with me” video on Instagram, offering a raw look at her morning routine and a powerful message about body acceptance.
“There’s something very calming about watching women get dressed for the day,” she said in the clip. “So, here’s my contribution.”
Porizkova then walked viewers through her simple, unfiltered process of getting ready to work from home. She described each item she put on — a five-year-old bathrobe, four-year-old underwear from Victoria’s Secret, and her trusted ThirdLove bra — before briefly showing the hip scars from her lateral hip replacement surgery.
As she continued dressing, she slipped into Rag & Bone sweatpant jeans (“Dressing for a day at home means an elastic waist”), a squirrel-print sweatshirt, and warm shearling slippers. She also popped in her contact lenses, joking, “This is what I have to do as a nearly-blind person.” Completing her look, she pinched her cheeks, saying, “My only makeup will be a pinch of color.”
In the caption, Porizkova encouraged her followers to embrace their own flaws. “If you’re like me, you will zero in on the shape of my body — and hopefully think with relief, ‘Ah, she’s not perfect either,’” she wrote. “Give yourself a little break… because our imperfections are what make us a perfect original.”
Porizkova, who rose to global fame in the 1980s, has unintentionally become a symbol of natural beauty and anti-Photoshop honesty on social media. She previously shared that she didn’t even know image filters were an option.
“Had I known, I probably would have,” she told Page Six Style. “But I just had no clue.”
“The more I posted the reality and the real me,” she added, “the more people responded to it.”
