Christina Ricci is calling out Megyn Kelly after the media personality made controversial remarks about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes during a recent podcast episode.
The Yellowjackets star took to her Instagram Stories, sharing a quote that read, “There’s definitely a difference between a 5-year-old and a 15-year-old. But that difference is not ‘whether or not sleeping with them makes you a pedophile.’” The post was captured in screenshots shared by BuzzFeed.
Ricci followed up by reposting excerpts from Kelly’s interview with journalist Batya Ungar-Sargon on The Megyn Kelly Show, in which Kelly discussed newly released House Oversight Committee emails related to Epstein.
“I know somebody very close to this case. Jeffrey Epstein, in this person’s view, was not a pedophile,” Kelly said in the segment, adding, “He wasn’t into 8-year-olds, but he liked the very young teen types. There’s a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old.”
Ricci, 45, responded sharply, writing, “This woman is a danger to children.”
Kelly’s team did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Despite her comments, Kelly also condemned Epstein’s actions during the same episode. “The whole thing is just disgusting,” she said. “I’m definitely not trying to make an excuse for this — I’m just giving you facts.”
She went on to say she had been “reliably told” for years that Epstein preferred teens who “could pass for even younger,” until Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed earlier this year that the FBI had “tens of thousands of videos of Epstein with children or child porn.” Kelly said the revelation made her reconsider her views.
Kelly noted that Bondi never clarified the claims, adding, “I don’t know whether it’s true.”
Her remarks sparked immediate backlash on X, with users calling for her removal from SiriusXM and criticizing her for minimizing harm to minors.
Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking minors.
Kelly has made headlines repeatedly for controversial commentary on her podcast. In recent months, she has criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, mocked Sydney Sweeney’s see-through red carpet dress, and referred to Jennifer Lopez as an “adult entertainer” after a sultry performance.
