The speculation began when fans noticed a recent update on the UK business registry, Companies House, involving the band’s corporate entity, PPM Music Limited. On November 3, Zayn’s listed address was updated to a U.S. location, sparking a flurry of theories that the singer might be back alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.

However, according to filings available as of November 13, there is no evidence of a formal reunion. Zayn’s director role ended in 2016 shortly after he left the band, and the other members resigned from their director positions on December 31, 2022.
The only notable recent change to the company was the removal of Liam Payne as a person of significant control following his death in October 2024, after a tragic fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
The November 3 update appears to be limited to Zayn’s address.
He, along with Harry, Louis, and Niall, remains listed as having “significant influence or control,” a legal status assigned to anyone owning 25% or more of a company’s shares or voting rights. The company’s active directors continue to be Lawrence Engel of Lee & Thompson and Alan McEvoy of Live Wire Business Management.
Fans’ hopes for a reunion persist — especially in the wake of Payne’s passing. Meanwhile, another minor update unrelated to Zayn involved the band’s company 1D Media Limited, with Niall Horan legally changing his name to Niall Maria Horan for undisclosed reasons.
