What was meant to be a magical night at the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore turned into a real-life nightmare for Ariana Grande — when an overzealous fan suddenly broke through security and grabbed the pop superstar on the yellow carpet.
The shocking incident occurred Thursday night at Universal Studios Singapore, where Grande, 32, was greeting fans alongside her Wicked co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
In a now-viral video, Ariana can be seen smiling and interacting with fans when a man suddenly vaults over the barricade, rushing toward her. Without hesitation, he throws an arm around the startled singer, bouncing excitedly as cameras roll.

The moment leaves both Grande and Yeoh visibly shaken — but Cynthia Erivo springs into action. The Oscar-nominated actress swiftly steps between Grande and the intruder, grabbing his shoulders and pushing him back until security intervenes. Guards then escort the man away as the crowd erupts in boos.
Witnesses say the man is believed to be a notorious internet prankster known online as “Pyjama Man,” infamous for storming stages and public events in viral TikTok clips.
Despite the unsettling moment, Grande was comforted by her co-stars and continued the evening’s festivities after the disruption. The rest of the premiere reportedly proceeded without further incident — though fans and onlookers described the encounter as “terrifying.”
“It was definitely a Wicked scare,” one attendee told reporters.
Just a day after the shocking scene in Singapore, Ariana Grande made headlines again — this time for a much happier reason. The multi-platinum performer is officially returning to television, joining the cast of American Horror Story Season 13.
The pop star’s comeback to the small screen was confirmed Friday in a chilling teaser from Ryan Murphy Productions. The clip opened with the franchise’s iconic line, “Surprise, b–h! I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” before unveiling Grande’s involvement.
This marks Grande’s first major TV role in nearly a decade, following her early career on Victorious and Scream Queens. The upcoming season, set to premiere in October 2026, will feature a powerhouse cast including Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman — and the legendary Jessica Lange, who returns to the anthology for the first time since Season 8.
