The Andretti name has long been a fixture in motorsports, and now Michael Andretti is making headlines in the luxury real estate market. The former IndyCar champion and current team owner has listed his expansive lakefront estate in Indiana for $12 million, following his recent purchase of a waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale for $27.375 million.
Located on more than five acres along the Geist Reservoir, Andretti’s Indiana property offers over 21,000 square feet of living space. The residence, originally constructed in the 1990s, underwent a major redesign and expansion after Andretti and his wife, former model Jodi Ann Andretti, acquired it in 2016 for nearly $2.2 million.
Working with the Palladium Group, the couple transformed the home into a contemporary retreat with European-inspired architecture, custom stone detailing, sweeping arched windows, and expansive outdoor living spaces.
The three-story interior features nine bedrooms and twelve bathrooms. A dramatic, vaulted great room opens to panoramic lake views, while the spacious kitchen is equipped with a 14-foot island, Italian Ilve range, and a secondary caterer’s kitchen. A retractable glass wall leads to a covered lakeside veranda with automated screens.
Entertainment is a defining feature of the home, which includes a movie theater, 700-bottle wine cellar, 15-seat bar, fitness center, and dedicated children’s play cottage. The property also includes a detached carriage house with two full-size guest apartments and climate-controlled garage space for more than a dozen cars.
Outdoors, the grounds resemble a private resort with a 50-foot pool, spa, waterfalls, fire features, waterslide, and a three-slip boat dock. Architectural plans for an additional 4,400-square-foot sports facility are available to the buyer.
The couple’s move south follows their August 2025 purchase of a 17,000-square-foot estate in Fort Lauderdale. Situated on 1.09 acres along the Intracoastal Waterway, the nine-bedroom property offers dock access, sweeping waterfront views, and a long list of amenities including a putting green, gym, media room, full bar, elevator, basketball hoop, conference room, and resort-style pool with cabana terraces.
Built in 2004 and previously owned by Nevada businessman Patrick K. Willis, the home more than doubled in value since it last sold in 2021. Its sale price places it among the top luxury real estate transactions in Fort Lauderdale this year.
Michael Andretti is widely regarded as one of the most successful figures in American open-wheel racing, with 42 career wins and the 1991 CART championship. Andretti Autosport, the team he later founded, has captured multiple Indianapolis 500 titles and IndyCar Series championships. His father, Mario Andretti, remains one of the sport’s legends, while his son, Marco Andretti, continues to compete in IndyCar events.
