Denise Richards Secures Permanent Restraining Order Against Estranged Husband Amid Divorce Drama

Denise Richards has been granted a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, as their bitter divorce continues to unfold.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that Phypers must stay at least 100 yards away from Richards and her workplace until November 7, 2030, and is prohibited from contacting her in any form, according to Us Weekly.

Outside the courthouse, Phypers, 53, reacted to the ruling, telling Entertainment Tonight he “wished it was the other way.”

He added that he is not concerned about how the decision might affect his upcoming spousal support hearing, scheduled for January 5, 2026.

“I know the truth. This may be hidden for a minute,” Phypers said. “We’re going to reset a little bit, but that’s okay.”

He also mentioned that he plans to return home and take “a break” while preparing for his next project.

Richards, 54, brought the exes back to court in October seeking to convert her temporary restraining order into a permanent one.

In her testimony, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star detailed multiple alleged incidents of violence, claiming Phypers had caused her “at least three concussions” during their marriage.

One incident, she alleged, occurred between March and May 2022, when Phypers supposedly “slammed [her] up against the concrete wall and [her] head hit it.”

Phypers has previously accused Richards of abusing alcohol and painkillers, which she has denied.

In court, he claimed Richards “bruises easily” and had no memory of her getting a black eye, though he admitted her eye appeared “bruised” around January 17, 2022—the timeframe of one alleged incident.

He also testified that Richards frequently sustained minor injuries in her daily life, including bruising her arms while cooking or falling.

In July, Phypers was arrested on charges of spousal abuse, including two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat.

Richards was initially granted a temporary restraining order on July 16, citing an incident where she alleged Phypers gave her a black eye.

At the time, a source close to Phypers claimed Richards had inflicted the injury on herself while drinking.
