Social media influencer and former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Haley Kalil is opening up about the surprising and deeply personal reason behind her 2022 divorce from former NFL offensive tackle Matt Kalil.
During a recent livestream with popular Twitch creator Marlon, Haley — known online as Haley Baylee — claimed that physical compatibility issues were the major factor in the end of their marriage.
“We were really trying to make it work,” the 33-year-old said. “Therapists, doctors — everything you could think of, we tried. But physically, it just wasn’t possible without pain. We were genuinely putting in the effort.”
Haley emphasized that she still has love and respect for her ex-husband, calling him her “homie,” but said the couple could not overcome the intimacy challenges.
“That was the biggest factor,” she explained. “His size is like .01 percent of the population. We tried. But unless you’re going to be in tears, it’s impossible.”
Matt Kalil, 36, has not responded publicly to the comments. Page Six reported that they reached out to him for comment but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
Haley and Matt first met after he was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2012. They married in a lavish Hawaii ceremony three years later. Haley filed for divorce in May 2022, citing irreconcilable differences, and the pair — who shared no children — went their separate ways after a decade together.
Following the split becoming public, Haley posted a message on social media hinting at resilience and recovery, writing:
“You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life.”
Since retiring from the NFL, Matt has moved forward as well — marrying model Keilani Asmus in 2024. The couple welcomed a son later that same year.
