GloRilla just proved she’s not only winning in music — she’s winning in the daughter-of-the-year category too.
The 26-year-old rapper arranged a heartfelt retirement celebration on Monday (Nov. 3) for her father, Edwin C. Woods Sr., who recently wrapped up nearly 30 years of service with the United States Postal Service. In a video circulating on social media, GloRilla shared a touching moment with her dad as she honored his decades of hard work.
“We celebrating my dad — his retirement,” she said proudly in the clip. “I’m pretty sure the post office appreciate all your hard work. You know I appreciate all your hard work. So I got a gift for you for your retirement party. You gotta come outside.”

Waiting outside was a sleek white Jaguar — and the crowd erupted as Woods Sr. saw the surprise.
The moment added another layer to their close father-daughter bond, something GloRilla spoke about earlier this year during an emotional appearance on the Tamron Hall Show. During that show, her father sent in a video message expressing just how proud he is of her.

“I am very proud of my daughter. She has risen from humble beginnings to going to the White House,” he said at the time. “I am extremely proud of Gloria and may she have many, many more days of success.”
GloRilla was brought to tears, telling Hall: “I love my dad so much. He one of the closest people to my heart.”
Monday’s celebration only confirmed what fans already knew: behind the fame, GloRilla’s biggest flex is family.
