Kim Kardashian is opening up about her complicated relationship with artificial intelligence — and she says it’s personal.
The reality star and aspiring lawyer revealed during Vanity Fair’s popular lie detector interview that she has used ChatGPT while studying law. But instead of helping her ace her exams, Kardashian says the AI tool has actually caused her to fail.
“When I need to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there,” Kardashian, 45, explained. “It has made me fail tests… all the time. And then I’ll get mad and yell at it.”
Her All’s Fair co-star Teyana Taylor, who was asking the questions, couldn’t help laughing.
“So she’s a frenemy?” Taylor asked.

“Yes, a frenemy,” Kardashian replied. “And then it’ll say back to me, ‘This is just teaching you to trust your own instincts. You knew the answer all along.’”
Taylor responded, “So she clocked you,” and Kardashian agreed — “Clocked me.”
The Skims founder went on to say that the AI chatbot acts like a kind of sarcastic life coach, pointing out that she even screenshots the conversations and shares them with friends.
“Can you believe this bitch is talking to me like this?” she joked. “This is insane.”
The lie detector confirmed she was telling the truth.
Kardashian has spent several years studying law in preparation for the California bar exam, a notoriously difficult test that includes essay questions, a performance assignment, and 200 multiple-choice questions.
Her real-life legal journey is now blending into entertainment. Kardashian stars in the new Hulu legal drama All’s Fair, which premieres Nov. 4. The series follows a high-profile, all-women divorce law firm, with Kardashian starring alongside Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, and Niecy Nash-Betts.
For now, Kim says she’s still studying — though it’s unclear whether ChatGPT will stay on her study squad or be officially fired.
