Arsenal Set to Hand Bukayo Saka Major Pay Rise in New Long-Term Contract Push

Arsenal are moving to secure a new long-term contract for star winger Bukayo Saka, with the England international expected to receive a significant pay rise as part of the deal. The club, who recently tied down William Saliba to an extended contract, have now turned their focus to ensuring Saka remains at the centre of their project for years to come.

The Gunners spent heavily during the summer to strengthen their squad, signing eight new players in a bid to enhance their Premier League title ambitions. The investment has already shown results, with Arsenal winning eight of their first ten matches and emerging as early contenders for the league.

Despite adding new talent, sporting director Andrea Berta has emphasized that keeping core players is equally crucial. Arsenal have already extended the deals of Gabriel, Ethan Nwaneri, Saliba, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, and now see Saka’s renewal as the next priority.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal have held several meetings with Saka’s representatives in recent weeks.

The club intends to offer him a deal running until 2030, with wages reportedly set at around £12 million ($16m) per year. The move aims to ward off growing interest from top European clubs who are monitoring the winger’s situation.

If agreed, the new contract would signal strong backing from club owner Stan Kroenke and reinforce Arsenal’s message that they intend to retain their most important players. There is confidence within the club that Saka, a product of their academy and one of their most influential performers, will commit.

Saka has also expressed belief in Arsenal’s title prospects this season, pointing to improved squad depth and resilience.

“This year, I feel we’re a very strong group and we’ve got a lot of quality,” he said recently. “Even with injuries, the players coming in have shown we can keep the level at the highest. It makes me really believe we can do it.”

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville echoed this sentiment, saying on his podcast that Arsenal now appear to have the depth necessary to sustain a title challenge.

“Every position is covered,” Neville said. “In the past, losing Saka could have cost them, but not now. Arsenal would have to beat themselves not to win it this year.”
