Victoria Beckham has shared an emotional look back at her battle with an eating disorder — revealing that she faced the painful struggle in silence, without even opening up to her husband, football legend David Beckham.
Speaking on Call Her Daddy with host Alex Cooper, the 51-year-old fashion icon admitted that during her darkest period, she “could not trust anyone at all” to help her. “David knew I was very disciplined about how I ate,” she explained, “but I didn’t turn to him for advice. I had to work on my relationship with food myself and teach myself that it’s about balance.”
While David didn’t guide her through her eating habits, Victoria credited him with helping her rebuild a healthy relationship with exercise. “All I wanted to do was burn, burn, burn,” she said. “He was the one who encouraged me to start weight training, and now we work out together.”
The former Spice Girl also reflected on years of harsh media scrutiny about her body. She recalled being labeled “Porky Posh” and “Skinny Posh” — and even being called “fat” while pregnant with her first child, Brooklyn. “I lost all sense of reality,” she confessed, describing how damaging the constant headlines were.
Today, Victoria says she has a far more positive outlook on health, fitness, and self-image — and that communication is key in her marriage.
But in true Victoria Beckham fashion, she balanced her emotional honesty with humor when speaking to The Sun about her new Netflix docuseries, Victoria Beckham. The designer revealed that even her picture-perfect marriage has some “bedtime quirks” — namely, David’s snoring.
“Yes, he’s obviously incredibly good-looking, really smart, very successful — and funny as well,” she said with a laugh. “But here’s the thing: he snores.”
Her solution? Earplugs. “It’s not for fun,” she joked. “He might look perfect, but breaking news — even my husband snores!”

Victoria also shared details of their nightly routine, which includes wearing an LED face mask, listening to podcasts, and watching shows together. Still, her love for crime thrillers sometimes keeps David on edge. “I read a lot of thrillers in bed,” she teased. “So, you know, David Beckham better sleep with one eye open.”
The couple recently attended the London premiere of Victoria Beckham, where David looked dapper in a black suit and Victoria stunned in an all-white gown. They were joined by three of their four children — Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14 — while their eldest, Brooklyn, 26, was absent amid reports of tension involving his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30.
During her speech, Victoria still made sure to mention him, joking, “My children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper — and David — oh my God, he’s not a child!” drawing laughter from the audience.
