Search Intensifies for Missing Perth Mother of Three, Family Offers $100,000 Reward

The search for a missing mother of three in Australia has entered its sixth day after she mysteriously vanished outside a hospital in Perth and has not been heard from since.

Fifty-year-old Michelle Joan Leahy was last seen on the afternoon of Thursday, October 16, near Hollywood Private Hospital on Monash Avenue in Nedlands, Western Australia, according to the WA Police Force.

Police described Michelle as being about 5 feet 7 inches tall, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing light brown sandals, chequered blue long pants, a white long-sleeve top, a black baseball cap, and carrying what appeared to be a blue side bag.

Authorities say Michelle was walking to a medical appointment but never arrived. Since her disappearance, there has been no sign of her and no confirmed CCTV footage showing where she went next.

Her husband, Murray Leahy, has issued a public plea for help, revealing that the family is offering a $100,000 AUD reward for any information that could help locate her.

“We’ve reached a point of pure desperation where the family’s offering a reward of up to $100,000 [AUD] for anyone that can help find Michelle for us safe and sound,” Murray said during an interview with 6PR Perth’s Perth Today radio show.

He added that their children are devastated. “We’ve got three kids at home with absolutely broken hearts and desperate to see their mum return safe and sound.”

Speaking to 7News, Murray described Michelle as “deeply loved and missed by all of us,” adding, “We just want her home safe.” He also expressed serious concern for her health, saying, “Michelle needs her medication, and we’re extremely worried for her wellbeing.”
