Reality TV personality Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, have reportedly been booked on criminal fraud charges in Westminster, Maryland.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the Real Housewives of Potomac star faces a total of 16 charges, including seven felony counts related to providing false or misleading information in a fraud case involving more than $300. She is also charged with one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to a law enforcement officer.
It remains unclear what specific charges her husband, Eddie, is facing. The couple was taken into custody on Thursday night.
Dr. Wendy Osefo, 41, joined The Real Housewives of Potomac in Season 5. Outside the show, she is a professor at Johns Hopkins University and a political commentator, contributing to The Hill and MSNBC.
Osefo has previously been active in U.S. politics and advocacy, notably maintaining a close relationship with Vice President Kamala Harris during her presidential campaign. Both women are members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the same sisterhood to which Harris belongs.

The arrest news comes just weeks after another RHOP cast member, Karen Huger, was released from jail after serving six months of a one-year sentence for two back-to-back DUI offenses.
The charges also come on the heels of what appeared to be happier times for the Osefos. In August, Wendy and Eddie celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary with a tropical vacation, sharing romantic photos and heartfelt messages on social media.
“We did the work and prayerfully, God has done the rest,” Wendy wrote in an Instagram post marking the occasion. “We have built a life that will outlive us, and for that I am forever grateful.”
Her husband Eddie, an attorney, shared his own tribute, writing, “After all these years, I still choose you. We have created three little people with our love — a constant reminder of God’s love in our marriage.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, share three children — Karter (12), Kruz (10), and Kamrynn (6).
