American pop star Taylor Swift has strongly rejected claims that she plans to end her music career after marrying her fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Radio about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swift addressed fan speculation that marriage or motherhood might lead her to retire from music.
When the interviewer suggested that the album could be her last, Swift appeared visibly surprised. “That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say,” she replied. “That’s not why people get married — so that they can quit their job.”

The 34-year-old singer said her relationship with Travis Kelce is built on mutual respect and support for each other’s careers. “One of the reasons I adore Travis is because he loves what I do — and he loves how fulfilled I am by my work,” she said. “Our connection has only deepened because we’re both passionate about what we do.”
Swift noted that their professions even share similarities, saying both of them perform for hours in packed NFL stadiums, just in different ways.
When asked about her upcoming wedding, Swift kept details private but said she is focusing on celebrating both her relationship and the release of her new album.
The singer’s remarks come amid growing excitement about her musical projects and public appearances with the Kansas City Chiefs star, which continue to make headlines around the world.
