Hollywood’s real estate shuffle just got bigger. Elvis star Austin Butler has officially purchased Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz property for $5.2 million, months after the high-profile home was broken into by burglars.
According to TMZ, Butler, 34, closed the deal last Friday on the historic residence, famously dubbed “The Steel House.” The purchase comes three months after the estate was “ransacked” in late June when intruders scaled a fence and broke in through a front window. At the time, Pitt was away on his “F1” press tour, with premieres in New York, Mexico, and London.
Pitt, 61, had only owned the L-shaped property for two years. He bought it from oil heiress Aileen Getty in April 2023 for $5.5 million, as part of a star-studded real estate swap in which Getty took his larger Los Feliz compound for $33 million.
Butler’s new three-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat offers just over 2,000 square feet of living space. Highlights include a built-in sauna, solar panels, a sleek modern pool, and expansive outdoor lounging areas — all tucked away in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, Pitt has upgraded to a much larger $12 million Spanish-style estate in the Hollywood Hills. The 8,385-square-foot home boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a theater, pool, fire pit, and enhanced security features. Sources told The Post that privacy and safety were top priorities for the Oscar winner long before his Los Feliz home was targeted.
With the deal, Butler joins a growing list of A-listers snapping up high-profile homes in Los Angeles, while Pitt continues to refine his real estate portfolio with an eye on both luxury and security.
