Lauryn Goodman has revealed that her son Kairo dreams of becoming a professional footballer, just like his father, England star Kyle Walker.
Goodman, a former Love Island contestant, has two children with Walker, who is married to his long-term partner Annie Kilner. Their relationship has faced strain, and reports say Walker has little involvement in the lives of Kairo and his sister Kinara.
Despite this, Kairo knows who his father is and what he does. Goodman has taken him to England matches at international tournaments, and he hopes to one day play on the same stage.
Speaking to Closer magazine after a family holiday in Spain, Goodman said:
“Kairo wants to be a footballer when he’s older. He is football crazy. Everything is football from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep. He’s had a football camp here in Spain, which has been exciting for him. It’s full-on, but really special.”
Goodman also shared that she is considering a move abroad, with Dubai being a strong option. She said:
“I’ve always felt a pull towards living abroad and Kairo is always asking to move to Dubai – he absolutely loves it there. But as a parent I have to make thoughtful decisions, and I always put my children’s best interests first.”
Walker, who played for Manchester City for over a decade, recently joined Premier League side Burnley.
