Manchester United are preparing to make a move for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, just as they close in on signing Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
New manager Ruben Amorim is keen to rebuild the team after a disappointing 2024-25 season and is already making changes to improve the squad ahead of the next campaign.
The Portuguese coach wants to lead the Red Devils back to European competition.
According to talkSPORT, United have almost completed a deal for Cunha and are now turning their attention to Mbeumo.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international had a standout season with Brentford, playing in all 38 Premier League matches. He scored 20 goals and assisted seven, making him one of the top performers for the Bees.
Mbeumo’s contract with Brentford runs until 2026, but the club is expected to demand around £50 million (approximately KSh 8.6 billion) for his transfer.
Earlier this month, Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard hinted that Mbeumo could be on his way out of the club during the summer transfer window.
