Justin Timberlake’s recent DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) arrest has become a subject of online humor and memes following an amusing exchange between the singer and a police officer in the Hamptons on June 18.
According to reports from Page Six, Timberlake was pulled over by a police officer who initially didn’t recognize him.
An insider revealed: “The cop didn’t know who [Timberlake] was at first.” The source added, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.'”
These quotes quickly spread across social media platforms, with users creating memes that incorporated scenes from popular movies and shows like Marriage Story, Succession, and Seinfeld, humorously imagining Timberlake’s conversation with the officer.
Some posts referenced Timberlake’s role in the animated film Trolls World Tour and speculated how he might have reacted when asked by the officer to perform sobriety tests.
Timberlake, 43, was charged with DWI and received citations for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. His arrest report, obtained by People, quoted him telling police, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
