A Marriage Driven By Love And Protection

Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Jennifer Spinner have officially started their new chapter as a married couple.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 47, and her fiancée, 40, tied the knot in an impromptu ceremony at their Nashville home on December 4.

With a public notary officiating and a small group of close friends in attendance, the couple made their union official. Several of Braunwyn’s children were present, including Bella (24), twins Curren and Caden (11), Koa (9), and Hazel (6), whom she shares with her ex-husband Sean Burke. Her older children, Rowan (22) and Jacob (19), were unable to attend as they were in New York and California, respectively.

Reflecting the couple’s spontaneous spirit, Braunwyn shared, “This morning [Dec. 3], I sent a text to our friends in Nashville saying, ‘We’re getting married tomorrow if you’re free.’ That’s how we live our life—‘Let’s do this.’”

For the occasion, Braunwyn wore a white dress delivered overnight, paired with a textured ivory jacket from Bloomingdale’s and silver boots. Jennifer complemented her bride in a black suit adorned with embellishments from Sacca’s in New York City.

The couple, who became engaged in July 2023 after a year of dating, initially planned to wed in October 2026.

However, due to concerns over potential changes in Tennessee’s political climate, they decided to act sooner.

“This is about making it legal and ensuring we have the protections we need as a queer couple living in the South,” Braunwyn explained.

Jennifer added, “We wanted to be legally protected and hopefully grandfathered into any changes that happen.”

Although this ceremony marked the legal union, Braunwyn and Jennifer previously exchanged rings on New Year’s Eve and celebrated an unofficial wedding at Las Vegas’ Graceland Chapel on Valentine’s Day.

Looking ahead, the couple plans to host a larger celebration in Guatemala for friends and family, along with smaller ceremonies in New York and California to include their grandmothers.

“Jen is my best friend, and I’m so lucky to wake up and go to bed with the person I’d rather be with more than anyone else,” Braunwyn told People.

“She’s the one who has my back. These past two years have been incredibly hard, and I don’t think I could have made it through without her.

When you take marriage vows, they say, ‘For better or worse,’ and we’ve faced those challenges together. She’s shown up every single time.”

The newlyweds now look forward to building a future together, grounded in love, resilience, and the shared commitment to support one another through life’s ups and downs.
