Meghan Trainor is being refreshingly honest about her cosmetic enhancements. The 30-year-old singer recently shared that multiple rounds of Botox and lip fillers have altered her smile in ways she didn’t expect.
On her Workin’ On It podcast, Meghan confessed to going overboard with Botox injections, which were aimed at her forehead.
“I got too much Botox and I need help,” she joked, adding, “I’ve had Botox, like, a handful of times, just my forehead.”
However, it wasn’t just the Botox that led to her smile mishap. Meghan also tried lip fillers, including a procedure known as a “lip flip,” which she said was supposed to enhance her upper lip’s appearance.
“Someone convinced me with my little lips that if you did a lip flip, you could have a beautiful flip on your upper lip,” she explained. “It was not true.”
As a result, she revealed, “I cannot smile anymore.” Her brother, Ryan Trainor, pointed out the change, and Meghan admitted he was right, saying, “My face hurts to smile, to even try.”
Despite the unintended side effect, Meghan shared that compliments about how “rested” she looked had encouraged her to continue with the treatments.
“I was like, ‘This is young,’” she recalled. “People gave me compliments saying, ‘You look rested,’ so I was like, ‘I’m going to do it again.’”
However, after the experience, Meghan learned an important lesson: “Don’t try everything.”
While she may be stepping away from Botox and lip fillers, Meghan is still open to other body enhancements.
She revealed during the same podcast episode that she plans to get a breast augmentation.
“I’m getting a boob job because my mommy boobies were full of milk and now they’re empty,” she shared, joking about the changes in her body after having children.
Meghan, who has two sons, Riley, 3, and Barry, 16 months, with her husband Daryl Sabara, said she’s excited to finally get the breast surgery she’s wanted for years.
“I’ve always joked and said for years, like, ‘I can’t wait till I can get a boob job,’” she said. “I’m going to have boobies that don’t look at the floor.”
