The Kenya Revenue Authority has announced a scheduled maintenance exercise on its iTax system that will temporarily disrupt online tax services on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
In a notice, the tax authority said the maintenance will run for four hours, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., during which the platform will be inaccessible to users.
“We regret any inconvenience caused,” KRA said.
The iTax system is a web-based platform introduced to streamline and modernize tax administration in Kenya. It allows taxpayers to register for Personal Identification Numbers (PINs), file tax returns, make payments, and manage their tax accounts in real time.
The system replaced the earlier Integrated Tax Management System (ITMS), which was more manual in nature.
