The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced vacancies for Deputy Vice-Chancellor positions in three public universities, alongside other academic job openings in selected institutions.
In a notice dated Tuesday, May 5, 2026, PSC invited qualified candidates to apply for senior university leadership roles, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Linkages) at Machakos University. The Commission also advertised the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Development) at Maseno University, as well as a similar role at Kibabii University.

Applicants are required to submit their applications online via the Commission’s website or through the job portal www.psckjobs.go.ke, following the instructions provided. Meanwhile, Kisii University has also advertised lecturer positions in the School of Medicine. The institution is seeking to recruit Lecturers in Human Anatomy, Obstetrics/Gynaecology, General Surgery, Human Pathology, Psychiatry, and Clinical Medicine, with one position available in each area.
Interested applicants are required to submit a cover letter, updated curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts, names and addresses of three referees, as well as details of current salary and benefits. Candidates must also provide telephone and email contacts.
