Taita Taveta University has announced multiple job vacancies for both academic and administrative positions.
In a notice published in MyGov on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the university invited applications from qualified candidates to fill several teaching and support staff roles.
Among the academic positions advertised are lecturer and senior lecturer posts in History; Philosophy of Education/Sociology of Education/Comparative Education; History/Religious Studies/Geography/Business Studies; Sports/Physical Education; and Biology/Agriculture.
The university is also seeking to recruit a Chief Technologist in Chemistry, a Technologist II (Grade 7) in Civil Engineering, Senior Administrative Assist assistants, a Secretarial Assistant, Library Attendants, a Senior Internal Audit Assistant, and a Project Assistant/Accountant.

“The Terms of Service for the positions shall be on Permanent and Pensionable Terms. However, the Terms of Service for the Position of Project Assistant/Accountant shall be on a one-year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The successful candidates will be entitled to applicable allowances as approved by the University Council,” the notice read.

Applicants are required to clearly specify the position applied for and quote the reference number on both the envelope and the application letter.
