A$AP Rocky has openly addressed his strained relationship with fellow rapper Drake, saying there is no serious feud but making it clear the two are no longer close.
Speaking during an interview on Ebro Show on Wednesday, the 37-year-old rapper was asked about speculation that he took a swipe at Drake on his new album Don’t Be Dumb. The talk followed lyrics on the track “Stole Ya Flow”, where Rocky appears to reference his past rivalry with Drake and his relationship with Rihanna.
Host Ebro Darden asked whether there was a real issue between the two artists. Rocky agreed with Darden’s view that hip-hop feuds often involve trolling and provoking reactions, similar to professional wrestling.
“This thing between us, it’s not real smoke,” Rocky said. “But I just don’t f–k with him.”

Rocky explained that he and Drake, who previously worked together on the 2012 hit “F–kin’ Problems,” were once friends but later fell out over relationships.
Drake was romantically linked to Rihanna on and off between 2009 and 2016. Rocky has been dating the global superstar since 2019, and the couple now share three children.
Reflecting on the situation, Rocky said he felt Drake had not moved on from the past.

“I feel like he wasn’t happy and he expressed that,” he said. “At some point, when everybody’s getting older, you’re supposed to move on. For you to still be picking at a female and all that, that’s soft to me.”
Rocky appeared to reference Drake’s 2023 song “Fear of Heights,” which many fans believed included remarks about Rihanna and their past relationship.
“I didn’t put out an album just to respond to one person,” Rocky added. “I’m talking to whoever feels like I’m talking to them.”

He concluded by downplaying the seriousness of the situation, saying there was no real hostility.
“It’s petty,” Rocky said. “There’s enough money, women, fame, and spotlight to go around. But real smoke? It could never be.”

Drake’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Rihanna last spoke publicly about her relationship with Drake in a 2018 interview with Vogue, saying they were no longer friends but not enemies either. She and Rocky became a couple the following year and started their family in 2022.
